"The Cupella" is a newly restored bed & breakfast located in the center of Monterotondo, near the most interesting monuments and commercial center.
With a short walk you can reach the most beautiful streets and monuments of the city: the Palazzo Comunale's, Cathedral etc.
Monterotondo, is a beautiful town situated on the outskirts of Rome, away from the chaos and frenetic at the same time for visiting the best the beautiful city of Rome. Easily reachable from Fiumicino airport, Ciampino airport and from railway stations of Rome and Rome Tiburtina Terms.
The name comes directly from the Latin "Cupello" which means small barrel.
In the beginning was mainly used by carters who transported wine.
They kept them on top of the tank plus 10 barrels, arranged to form a pyramid, even a Cupello for their use, which was filled by the innkeeper in thanks for the wine delivered.
It was later also used by farmers as a container to bring the wine in the fields working.
